(Mirror Daily, United States) – Ever wondered if your car has anything to do with the fact that the police is constantly stopping you to perform a “routine check”? Or why your neighbor never complains about tickets? Well, according to an insurance website, there are cars that get the least tickets, and cars that get the most tickets. Make sure to check our list to see which category your vehicle falls in.
Insurance.com, a website that provides insurance shopping for car owners has compiled two, very important lists. One is a list of 20 cars that are loved by the members of the police force, so, in consequence, they get pulled over and they receive tickets more often. The other is a list of the ten cars that get the least tickets.
In order to obtain these results, the people at Insurance.com reviewed traffic violation information and insurance claims from 323.349 individuals who drove 331 different car models. The data was gathered starting January 1st, 2014 and ending in February 1st, 2016.
The website did not take into consideration the year in which a particular car model was fabricated. Also, they included both new and old models of vehicles.
There are a bit of surprises on the list of cars that get the least tickets, but, then again, there are also a lot of car model names on the most-ticketed list that shocked a couple of car owners.
According to the information provided by Insurance.com, the cars that get the least tickets are the Lexus IS350 and the Buick Encore (both having scored a three percent chance of getting a ticket), the Cadillac ATS and the Acura ILX (who have a six percent chance of bringing home a ticket), the Cadillac Escalade and the Chevrolet Express (who ranked at eight percent), the Audi A3 from the 2-series and the GMC Savana (nine percent), the BMW 320I (with ten percent) and the Range Rover from Land Rover (which ranked last in the top ten cars that get the least tickets with an 11 percent chance).
On the other side of the coin, the cars that get the largest amount of tickets are the Lexus 300 (who dominates the list with 33 percent chances of getting a ticket), the Nissan 350Z, Dodge Charger, VW Jetta GL, the Monte Carlo model from Chevrolet, Mazda 3S, VW GTI, Dodge Stratus, Acura 3.0, Toyota Tacoma, Mazda Tribute, Subaru Impreza, Lexus LS, Subaru Impreza and Mercedes C300. The Chevrolet Malibu, Lincoln LS, Ford Fusion, Mazda 3I and Chevrolet Tahoe all ranked last with 29 percent chances of getting their owners a ticket.
