Milwaukee Man found guilty for stabbing his girlfriend and daughter.
Patrick Fowler, a 33-year-old Milwaukee resident, was recently found guilty by a jury of stabbing 28-year-old Jessica Ellenberger and 4-year-old Madyson Marshel to death in March 2016. Moreover, it appears that the man has asserted his innocence throughout the proceeding, claiming that another individual stabbed his girlfriend and her daughter, while he was hiding in the bathroom.
Milwaukee Man Offers Conflicting Testimony
The details of Fowler’s Milwaukee massacre gruesome, and, beyond comprehension, as far as the authorities are concerned. According to the man’s testimony, it would appear that on the night Jessica and Madyson lost their lives, Patrick Fowler was hiding upstairs, in the bathroom. Fowler told the court that he could hear Jessica through the thin door screaming for help, and 4-year-old Madyson crying ‘Mommy’ one last time before going silent.
After a while, the man got out of the bathroom, kneeled before his girlfriend’s lifeless body and began praying for her. Moreover, the Milwaukee man declared before the jury that the alleged murderer also set fire to the house before leaving.
But, according to the authorities, it appears that Fowler’s court testimony is infinitely different from the statement he gave to the investigators, on the day he was caught. After being brought to the police station for his interview, Fowler declared that he was fed up with how Jessica Ellenberger treated him, calling her disrespectful on more than one occasions.
Fowler’s Madness Escalates
Fowler told the authorities he took a knife and stabbed his significant other a couple of times, and turned his attention towards 4-year-old Madyson, who kept screaming and calling her mother. The suspect then used Madyson’s coloring book to start a fire, in an attempt to cover his tracks.
What’s even sickening about Fowler’s actions is that Madyson was recovering from the cancer surgery she had a few days prior to the event. The coroner’s report adds a new layer to Fowler’s insanity. According to the results of the autopsy, it would appear that both the woman and child were stabbed at least 28 times and, before starting the house fire, the Milwaukee man slit his girlfriend’s throat.
However, when he was confronted with the police statement, the Milwaukee man declared in front of the jury and magistrates that the testimony was false and that he couldn’t have committed all those atrocities because he was hiding the bathroom the whole time.
Patrick Fowler of Milwaukee was found guilty on two counts of first-degree murder and will probably be sentenced to life in prison.
