Twitch, the Only Third-Party Streaming Service for Blizzard

Blizzard started a deal with Twitch as the only third-party streaming service to present the video game tournaments

(Mirror Daily, United States) – On Tuesday, Blizzard Entertainment and Twitch signed a deal which allows the latter to be the only service which can stream the tournaments organized by the video game company. The contract lasts for two years, and makes Twitch the only third-party service where you can watch the tournaments.

Therefore, if you are planning to watch any Blizzard content, you will be able to do it on Twitch exclusively. The deal includes the streaming of more than 20 Blizzard tournaments, including games like Overwatch, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft, or StarCraft II. Everything comes just in time with tons of new content in the games.

You can also watch the tournaments on Blizzard’s own platform if you don’t have a Twitch account. This deal comes just in time for eSports, especially since Overwatch has entered the league. Among the other tournaments streamed by Twitch and Blizzard, there’s the Hearthstone Global Championship or StarCraft II World Championship Series.

Apart from streaming, you also receive in-game bonuses

The other tournaments included are Hearthstone Championship Tour, Hearthstone Global Games, World of Warcraft Arena Championship, Overwatch APEX League, and Overwatch Premier Series. Also, if you have a Prime membership, you can get special in-game bonuses to use when you are playing the game by yourself.

Also, a Prime membership should bring you a gold loot box and many other legendary items in Overwatch. This will be available starting with August 10th. In fact, each August and October, subscribers will receive 10 loot boxes, together with similar offers for Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone.

Meanwhile, Blizzard will keep streaming all the tournament on its own website, so they are still available for non-members. The deal with Twitch came after many popular video game streamers began using it instead of YouTube.
