November 15, 2016 By John Birks

Apple Gadgets

iOS 10.2 will be launched at the beginning of December.

Eager to upgrade your Apple to iOS 10.2? You should be. Apple has announced that apart from a couple of major OS fixes, the new iOS 10.2, which is scheduled to roll out at the beginning of December, will have many interesting and entertaining features.

To help you decide whether the new update is worth it or not, we have prepared a short list of some of the update’s features.

Everyone loves using emojis in conversation. Well, you’ll be delighted to hear that the new update will let you access over 70 different and inspiring emojis. Give your conversation an extra something by using the sideway smiley face, the woman wearing a hijab, the disco guy, or the bacon emoji.

Another great feature is the preserve camera settings, which will allow you to keep your favorite camera settings after closing the app. Do you have a favorite filter or a do you like snapping pics using the live photos function? No problem. Your phone will keep your settings thanks to the iOS 10.2 update.

To activate this function, just head over to Photos and Camera under settings and tap on preserve settings. This function is already available on the beta version of the OS.

Another interesting feature that will be available on iOS 10.2 will the emergency call function. If you’re in a tight spot and want to call the authorities, thanks to this new features, you won’t even have to take your phone out of your pocket.

Just press the power button five times in a row, and the phone will initiate an emergency call after three seconds. The emergency feature will be available in 14 countries, including US, UK, Russia, France, India, Japan, and Canada.

Apple’s iOS 10.2 update managed to fix the text bubble that annoyed so many Apple users in the past. Thanks to this update, every time you type a message in bubble mode and switch to full-screen mode, your text will be preserved.

In addition, as part of the new update, the developers added several celebration message screens and three different wallpapers.

Last, but not least, you will be able to watch your favorite TV shows, thanks to the new and improved Apple TV application.

From what we can tell, iOS 10.2 promises to bring out quite a lot of features. Whether the company will live up to its promises or not remains to be seen when the update rolls out.
